That.... almost made sense...

(admittedly, to someone with absolutely no knowledge of Australian politics, which I think says a lot for the LOLcats.)

In brief: Opposition leader (Turnbull) accused Prime Minister (Rudd) and Treasurer (Swan) of using their position to get favours for a car dealer who'd donated a utility truck to PM's political campaign, and insisted they resign.

Rudd said he didn't know anything about it, Turnbull produced a Treasury official (Grech) who said he'd seen an email from Rudd requesting them to help aforementioned dealer.

Eventually the email was produced, Turnbull brandished it, and it turned out to be a fake (AFAIK, not a very good one - I think the writer may not have known how to fake headers). Grech eventually confessed to creating the fake himself, and Turnbull dropped him like a hot potato. Turnbull's ratings are now looking pretty dismal, and I think Grech is dividing his time between police interviews and a psych ward.

I do feel a bit sorry for Grech; what he did was a massive breach of professional ethics, but it sounds like he was under extreme work and health stress and possibly not compos mentis at the time.

If it had been written seriously in sentences, I would have tuned out after the first paragraph. LOLCats journalism is win!

That was hilarious and educational at the same time. I lost it when I got to "Sloppy Joe".
