I wonder if walking past The Block in Redfern counts as "visiting an Aboriginal community".

(chuckle) Some of these would fit just as well in Maine as Down Under, including #32 and #98. :)

Update as didn't have time this morning. Like I said, some of these are not Aussie-specific. Things I've done, though I've never left North America:

2, 5, 8 (cheating--Maine has a York, which in turn has a 'cape'/beach/point), 9, 12 (it's spelled with an i instead of a y in Maine and is the next town north of here-chuckle), 18 (as a counselor at scout camp, my nickname was "TillyCommander" as we called'em Tillies or outhouses at the time), 22 (we call it bush wacking here), 26, 27, 30 (and did it in reverse order--saw sunset, worked all night and saw the following sunrise), 32 (toured the various National Parks/Monuments in Southwestern US over a ten day period. Put 2,500 miles/4,000km on my car. Within Maine, you can drive that far and stay within the state borders), 34 (2nd degree burn on back--OUCH!), 37 (he sells LL Bean Subarus on TV, right?), 40, 43, 47 (at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico), 48, 54, 58, 81 (no need to visit as we get it), 83 (lived on the edge of it for 30 months), 90, 92, 96 (many Maine back dirt roads/jeep trails are bumpy), and 98 (big swaths of the state have no coverage).

So, that's 25 out of a 100. Does that mean I'm 25% Stealth-Aussie? (chuckle)

Now you remind me, I *have* done that, just not in Australia. (Bus tour of Arizona/Nevada.)

I've been asking myself the same question - it seems like the sort of thing I ought to have done at some stage, but I can't think of any specific occasions.
