Saw 'Bubba Ho-tep' the other day. Nice to see that people can still make a good movie for less than a million dollars - and I can't remember the last time I saw a movie that concentrated on old people doing anything beyond reminiscing about when they weren't old. I'm fond of Bruce Campbell, but Ossie Davis really made the film.

Read John Diamond's C: Because Cowards Get Cancer Too. Rather moving, and no surprise to hear that my mother liked it - she always got cross at the idea that people instantly become 'brave' the moment something awful happens to them. (IMHO she was brave in her own way, but for reasons quite unrelated to her illness.)

Oh, and due to a relationship breakup amongst my housemates and subsequent moving-out, we're looking for a couple of new housemates. If you know anybody who's looking for share accommodation in Belconnen, let me know. (Somewhere around $100/wk + bills, but I need to sort out the details with remaining housemate.)

If your housemate has yearnings to leave as well, I'd be interested. Yes, I'd happily spend $300 for three rooms of my own and a decent house to share with one other queer-friendly person. :-)

I think the housemate is staying, but he has his own quarters downstairs - we share kitchen and laundry, other than that I don't see much of him.

It's my brother's - I'm sure he'd be happy to lend it to you, but you'd have to catch him before he leaves for Darwin on the 19th :-)

Yeah, but then I'd have to work out how on earth to get it back to him (and/or how to remember whose it was in the meantime!), and suddenly the library's looking so much easier... *wry smile*
