...after five days in Melbourne. Yay Melbourne! Actually managed not to schedule things to fill every last minute of the time this time, and so we actually had time to chill out with asagwe, brandtotter, shadow_5tails, and silverblue. Yay them!

Dad laughed bitterly when the time-share service informed him that two-room accomodations in a five-star Melbourne hotel would be available during our Summer, nearly one whole year after we could have used them.

That's the beauty of time shares. You can trade yours for a different one, but all the ones available are never what you want unless it's at a time when you can no longer arrange to use them.

(Before anyone asks, we can't take advantage of this opportunity; airfare is deadly, air miles or suchlike points were all used up the last time we came over, bad year for enrolments, and more important than a vacation, the folks are paying for Aubs' wedding)

It was nice to have a weekend down here proceed at a more relaxed pace, indeed. And, y'know, to see more of each other than comings and goings.
