Pet Peeves
Jun. 9th, 2003 03:27 pmFrom the Saturday Herald's computer section, Q&A column:
Q: I would like to include a logo, colours and fancy letters in my signature file. How can I do this using Outlook Express?
A: The easiest way is to create a .gif image that combines your logo and any of the text you want to display near it. [Followed by instructions on how to do this, including animated signatures, with exactly zero words given to the question of whether one should do this.
I can forgive the questioner's ignorance, but as for the columnist... death is too good for 'em.

Or executable code. Hm. I could be the first person in the world to embed a web service in a .sig file.
This has potential.
