Great Amazon Reviews of our time: "While wiring up my system with these marvelous cables I accidentally turned on my system before connecting up the input sources. I found this cable is actually producing content internally and on the fly! Connecting input sources actually decreased the quality of the music! Incredible at such low prices. It's only a matter of time before this becomes common knowledge and these cables are dominating the charts! When Bono and Metallic find out about this they quit worrying about downloading overnight."

"Worked fine with my right hand, but when I came to use my left hand my writing came out looking like the work of a complete imbecile. I can only assume Bic have created a right-handed only pen, and would caution left-handers to "try before you buy"."

Also, it came to my attention that in seven years of marriage I had never told Rey this story:

Once upon a time, there was a far away land inhabited by potatoes. The potatoes - or 'taters', as they called themselves - had not yet discovered parliamentary democracy, so they were ruled by a monarchy, which was pretty good as monarchies go. At the time our story begins, the reigning monarch was King Kipfler III, who had three sons and one daughter.

Now although he didn't have to worry about re-election, he was a sensible enough monarch who knew the importance of good PR, so he made an effort to be seen out among the people. On one such occasion he took his family to a cricket match. They mingled with the players, the spectators, and the media, and had a pretty good time.

After returning home, he noticed that his daughter was looking rather distracted. She was reluctant to tell him why, but King Kipfler III was socially adept, and eventually he got the whole story out of her: at the cricket match she had met Richie Benaud (if you're not familiar with cricket, think John Madden). To the King's dismay, they had fallen in love. To the King's horror, they were already betrothed.

"What? My daughter wants to marry a COMMON TATER!"

Some of those pen reviews are really hilarious! It brings to mind my favorite IMDb entry: Leonard Nimoy Demonstrates the Magnavision Videodisc Player.
