Ways to make your D&D players happy

1. Turn them (temporarily) into ogres. Ogres with class levels and professional-quality equipment. Oh, and give all of them Cleave, if not Great Cleave.
2. Send them up against hordes of first-level human warriors.
3. ...Who needs a third step?

(There is, in fact, some plot happening here, but we adjourned the game before it got to that point. The party has been badly mauled by ogres more than once lately, so I thought it'd be nice to give them a short go on the other end of the stick.)

That is more or less the entire rationale behind my household's infamous "Nameless Campaign", which as of this summer will be entering its third (or possibly fourth) glorious season. The point is that during summer, it's hot and hard to think and we don't have air conditioning, so we all made up wacky monster characters who are interdimensional mercenaries and we go places and kill stuff lots. ZOMFG FUN. This userpic is of my character in that campaign, an awakened velociraptor. Class: barbarian. Prestige class: Bear Warrior, from Oriental Adventures, except instead of turning into a bear/grizzly bear/dire bear, she turns into a deinonychus, allosaur, and T-rex. :D :D :D Yay kill stuff lots!
