Not before time

So on behalf of the British government, and all those who live freely thanks to Alan’s work I am very proud to say: we’re sorry, you deserved so much better.

Maybe not a terribly difficult apology to make, but no less appropriate for that.

Meanwhile, world discovers that just because people like to pigeonhole things into neat categories doesn't mean those categories correspond to reality. Or at least, world *should* discover that, but no doubt the lesson will be ignored as usual.
