Family discounts?

Went to hospital today to visit and old friend, who's had a bit of a stressful week. Saturday, his wife gave birth to twins, six weeks premature (they'll be in for a while, should be fine)... and then Monday night, just when aforementioned wife was due to come home from hospital, he had to call his brother to take him in with what turned out to be a burst appendix. So he's in bed just down the hall from the twins.

All in all, a bit rough, but it doesn't seem so bad when I think about how that would have turned out a couple of decades back. Yay medical science!
