Spent the long weekend at Bateman's Bay with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
silverblue, brandtotter, asagwe, shadow_5tails, and my father. It was pleasant, and relaxed, and we didn't really do anything much except play games and walk on the beach, and that suited me just fine. Dog-Or had finished his antibiotics the morning before we drove down, so he got four days of OH BOY PEOPLE! and OH BOY NEW PLACE! and OH BOY NEW SMELLS! and no medical indignities, so I think he also had a good holiday. reynardo, unfortunately, had to work Saturday & Sunday afternoons, but was at the coast before and after those.
brandtotter ran a mostly-diceless gaming session last night. We had to cut it short due to bedtime, but in the four or so hours that we played, silverblue and I broke with tradition by not killing, injuring, or even assaulting one another's characters - in fact, we cooperated, and the party actually managed to make progress and get quite far along on the way to completing our quest. We poked things with rats on sticks, which made some kind of sense at the time, especially since we were v. scientific about it.
Six-hour drive back, thanks to heavy holiday traffic. Snickered at radio urging motorists to slow down - not like we had much choice. Home, ate, tired.
