Thomas, the Austrian student who sits at the next desk, just received his beginning-of-semester statement of student fees owing.
According to this statement, he currently owes the university $3,043,848 for this semester's fees. Good thing I'm on a scholarship, eh?
(By a strange coincidence, this sum is exactly the same as his student number. Perhaps somebody ought to think about implementing range-checking on their financial software...)
In other news, thesis is now at the printers. Will celebrate when is finally handed in, some time next week.
