Still The Prettiest, part Whatever: Our Friend The Kobold

Has been a hot day today. Cicadas have been noisier this year than I can remember them ever being - we're in for a very hot summer. And while last summer's fires came near the town, there's still plenty of bushland around that hasn't burnt in a decade or more. There are fires not too far from here - we can stand out in the street and see the glow, and the water-bombers have been to and fro all day filling up at the nearby lake. It's going to be an interesting summer...
