A few years back I played a PC game called "Majesty". It was marketed as a "fantasy kingdom sim" but it was really more of a RTS. You got to build various structures to attract heroes; you couldn't control them directly, so if you wanted them to go scout an area or kill a monster, you had to set a bounty on it. Then you worked to recover the money by selling them healing potions and collecting taxes. All in all, enjoyable game, several hours of fun.
So when I found there was a cheap phone version, I bought it. Oh boy...
The gameplay is not the problem - it's pretty much like the original, simplified a little for the platform, and gameplay within the missions is fun. The stories that frame the missions, OTOH...
( Cut for misogyny )
To be fair, the port has turned it into a bit of a villain game generally; there are other missions that involve driving elves out of their forests, attacking dwarves to steal their gold, etc etc. But the misogyny shows up a LOT.
So, yeah, that's the last HeroCraft game I'll be buying.
