Put in my place
Sep. 7th, 2009 06:45 pmUsual evening routine: I catch the train home from work, Rey drives down to the local park (near the station) and walks the dog there until I show up.
Today, I got to the park and saw Rey and the dog in the distance. As I got closer, the dog galloped towards me like something out of 'Lassie Come Home'.
I said hello to the dog and told him how pleased I was to see him too...
Dog bounded towards me, ear flapping...
I bent down to pat him...
Dog hurtled straight past me towards half a chicken nugget that somebody had left in the carpark. Apparently he'd noticed it on the way in and Rey hadn't let him have it then.
*sigh* I should have expected that, I guess :-)
