Holy straight-to-video, Batman!
May. 6th, 2006 10:49 pmWe decided to have soon-to-be-ex-friends over for dinner and movies tonight. While we were shopping for ingredients,
reynardo and I got to browsing through the discount bin in EzyDVD.
Long story short... y'all remember the 1960s Batman movie?
They made a followup. With Adam West, Burt Ward, Frank Gorshin, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Lyle Waggoner. In 2002. It also credits West as "Executive Creative Consultant". We just finished watching it.
DEAR GOD MY BEAUTIFUL EYES!
For the plot, I can't do better than quote the back cover:
"Batman" series stars Adam West and Burt Ward reunite in a comedy adventure where they stumble upon a diabolical plot to steal the original Batmobile from a charity benefit. While trying to unravel the details and find the Batmobile, West and Ward flashback to the tumultuous times of their 60s television series to reveal a bizarre behind-the-scenes story of creation of a television classic, from their on-the-set explosions to their wild real life encounters with fans.
And yet, in a shameful way, it was actually rather fun.
