Waiting for the Dragon
Jan. 26th, 2003 01:21 amShortly after tonight's game ended (and it was a good one - see
shinyshinyelves for details), Rey smelled smoke.
After some rather worried calls to the fire information number, it appears there's a new fire at Mount Victoria (about 15 km to our west). It shouldn't be a threat - it's moving slowly, and the air is fairly still tonight - but after last weekend's events, I can't say I'm happy about it. And I can't help but walk out onto the front steps and look at the sky every few minutes.
Have changed into sensible clothes, Just In Case, and will probably wander around ineffectually looking for valuables in a little while.
At least we're insured.
