I shouldn't gloat, but...
May. 31st, 2001 10:20 pmI ranted a while back about 'Student Z'. Among other things, this guy was incapable of understanding the concept of 'bandwidth'. I pointed out that people have to pay money to download stuff; his response was that anybody could get an unlimited-download account from OneTel for $21 a month, and anything more was overpriced, so I was being unreasonable. (And, by implication, that every student has $240 a year to spare for unlimited net access.)
Today, I notice, OneTel are 'under administration', and trying to stave off bankruptcy. I feel sorry for their other customers, but Student Z... maybe, this will make him realise that such things actually do cost money.
And maybe pigs will fly. But all the same, it's a LARTing well-deserved.
