Not dead yet!

[livejournal.com profile] reynardo and I made it to Maine in one piece (each), although I'm very glad the return journey will be broken; travelling 30-odd hours in five legs is not a very restful thing to do.

Amusement at LAX, when they picked us for a pat-down search and - despite having glanced at my boarding pass with my name on it - called for "two female assists". Fortunately, said 'female assists' turned out to have better gender-recognition skills than their co-workers, which saved me having to embarrass anybody.

Picked up by [livejournal.com profile] panacea1 and Moxie at Manchester and have spent the last day-and-a-bit seeing Maine, which is v. pretty. Can thoroughly recommend dining at the 'Black Frog', which is identifiable by its sign showing a green frog (explanation later maybe, if not too sleepy). Buzzy had a fascinating time yesterday, pictures to follow as soon as he stops talking to things nobody else can see.

More of Maine today, then off to Mass. tomorrow. Looking forwards to seeing some of you soon!

Okay, I guess I have to concede that your lesbian-impersonation skills are indeed fine.

Glad to hear that you're safe, and I hope the jetlag isn't knocking you around too much. *hug* Enjoy your travels!

Oh, just figured I should ask. Should we put the roof rack on the PT Cruiser for when we pick you up? Not sure on how much luggage you have.

We have one big suitcase, one little suitcase, one medium-sized kitbag, and a couple of backpacks (hand-luggage sized). Unless you have a biggish trunk, roofrack might make it more comfortable for four.
