Code

The other day we were looking through Captain Expensive's vet records, and in among all the bits that earned his nickname we noticed the vet had described him as 'very friendly'. I wonder if this is Secret Vet Code for "doesn't bite"?

And then today I was looking through interviewers' log books. In among the "not at home"s and "slammed door"s, several of the houses they visited carry the note 'DOG'. But only one of them is labelled "DOG!!"

I'm guessing that one doesn't get a 'very friendly' rating o.O

The kennel where we board our dogs used to have a "hidden" code for ranking owners(and/or their dogs). One time, we were checking a later booking when we dropped the pups off and saw the smilies and frownies (in various colors) next to peoples' names.

Thankfully, our beasts (and us) had a smiley. Since she knew we saw the code, the woman working acknowledged that some of the codes reflected dogs and some reflected the owners.

Of course, people at a kennel generally like dogs, and like any person who generally likes dogs, it is very difficult not to fall for my hell beasts.

This is the ranking the pet store gave me

Are they real hell beasts? Some people say devilbunnies are hell beasts too, but I don't believe them.

No, they're not real hell beasts. Rambunctious and very friendly, but not an evil bone in their bodies.

However, to those not used to 60lbs (each) of hyper dog, they can come across as beasts.
