Driven by morbid curiosity, I tried rereading 'You Can Be The Stainless Steel Rat' (the SSR Choose-Your-Own-Adventure) to see if it was as bad as I remembered.

I hate Harry Harrison so much right now.

(Although I was amused to notice that the illustrator was one Dave McKean, who hadn't quite hit the big time at that point...)
