One of the epitomes, certainly... no argument there. But an obsession with the Goons that results in doing nothing but quoting them for 10 minutes & calling it after-dinner speaking... well, I have an argument with that.
Most of us grow out of the tiresome quoting of 'classic' comedy by our mid-twenties at the latest. So last night was either a spectacular case of arrested development, or a symptom of unhealthy monomania, no matter how funny I think the 'What Time Is It, Eccles' sketch is.
I suppose it could have been worse - she could have recited scenes from Seinfeld...
